The annual Halloween open air mini Rock festival was created by the band as something fun to do on Halloween night and an alternative to "egging" houses!

The first official FREAKFEST took place on Halloween 2003 at Woking Bandstand. (Woking Town, Surrey.) Although the idea was formed a year earlier when the band invited a select group of fans to a secret Halloween gig (the location of which, coincidentally, was near a graveyard) to kill boredom. Since then the event has continued to successfully progress and FREAKFEST 2005 was moved to Woking Town Square to accommodate the mass crowds attending.

WON'T SOMEBODY THINK OF THE CHILDREN?!

FREAKFEST is a free gig. But due to its success, the band saw an opportunity to raise funds and awareness for certain charities and in 2004 FREAKFEST became a charity event.

Both "DEBRA" and the "MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION" (a favourite of Metallica) have benefited so far.

Funds are raised through contributions and celebrity auctions / competitions where loads of celebrity prizes are up for grabs.

THE SUPPORT

To this date, support has been generously given to the boys and the event by names such as:

The Stereophonics, Oasis, Cold Play, Simple Plan, Eric Clapton, Paul Weller, Peter Gabriel, Virgin Mega stores, 96.4 Eagle Fm and many more companies and organisations in the local area who have contributed time, energy and resources to the project.

SHOW TIME!

As well as all the fire juggling demonic clown freaks and festivities, DRAVEN always bring some friends along for the ride.

RADIATE unplugged, MEL SANSON, KENELIS, REDEYE JEDI and CULT OF PERSONALITY have all given their love and eardrum bashings to the "FEST" come rain or shine and indeed - power failures!

THE FUTURE

FREAKFEST gets bigger and better every single year and is fast becoming a local institution. The future is indeed bright and like the warm glow of a candle or Halloween Pumpkin or Jack O' Lantern, the future is very orange!
