01.09.2007 Draven confirmed for Phonica 07 The boys have been confirmed for a slot on this years Phonica 07. The new Guildford youth festival will be the first appearance of the new look Draven since the completion of the debut album "EDEN". The boys need to warm up for their planned tours and will be performing a stripped down but rockin' set of new material. The Album is on its way peeps! The boys have been flexing their muscles recreating the sounds of the record for the live arena. They have yet to release any news as to the title of the album or the track list but they are preparing for a warm up tour which means the Draven Train is rolling this way and surprises will be revealed. We do know that the chase is on between majors in the U.S and Far-East. WARNER, EPIC, EMI, MCA and UNIVERSAL have all been mentioned in chats with the band and even major games companies. Other news is that the boys have filmed the entire process of writing and recording the album for a ROCKUMENTARY FEATURE FILM to be released with the album as a special edition or on its own indipendant release. LOOK OUT HOLLYWOOD! ..................................................................................................... 01.02.2007 DEBUT ALBUM IS GO! It has been officially confirmed that Kevin Shirley (Iron Maiden, Tool, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi etc) is producing Draven's Debut Album. The boys fly out next month to record the Album in L.A. It was announced on their recent Delta Radio interview that the boys are working with the mega producer also known as "Caveman!" This is very encouraging and a definate step up to top gear. The album has been a long time coming and the boys are currently still in pre-production at their personal studio. We will keep you all up to date with the progress of the project and you can check in with the band at Dravenspace. This is due to the fact that the boys and CNR Management decided it was more important to focus funds and attention on the release of the debut album and up and coming UK and International tours. HOWEVER... Draven will be playing on Halloween night in a special intimate gig. The boys will play live from their old rehearsal studio (the scene of the very first unofficial Freakfest) to mark the anniversary of what would be the greatest rock show in town. Draven announced this week that they are planning to tour the Far-East early next year to promote the release of the Debut Album. The announcement was made during an interview on Wednesday morning (6th July) as Draven were beamed in to Philippine airwaves by live phone link. The boys told the good news to millions of Far-Eastern listeners on one of Super Radio Manilla’s biggest shows. The tour could include Hong Kong, Japan and the Philippines as well as other rock loving nations. There are no confirmed dates as of yet but we do know that a possible European Tour could follow... ..................................................................................................... 07.06.2005 Draven Madness Although its still a long way off, Freakfest 2005 is already being planned. Word from the special Freakfest comitee is that we are in for a treat if all goes to plan. There is no confirmation as yet on weather Draven will be appearing at any of the summer festivals as they are completely focused on the album project, but hopefully what is coming soon will make up for any lack of shows during the following period of Draven madness. Stay tuned for more info. ..................................................................................................... 05.05.2005 Battle Of The Bands Cult Of Personality Red Eye Jedi Last month saw the Draven boys lending support to the local scene by appearing as judges at the Woking College Battle Of The Bands. Some of the new groups even featured members of our very own tribe. You know who you are!! The boys have also been enjoying themselves while running a Rock master class at the CNR School Of Rock. The latest news on the Debut album is that there have been various producers floating around Dravensville. Watch this space... ..................................................................................................... 03.03.2005 The boys have been busy! Word from the studio is that the boys are currently working through about 50 songs during the process of creating what they hope to become the basis of Draven's DEBUT ALBUM. The Guys have been in demand outside of dravensville also as they were personally requested to provide the awesome Draven rock vibes while helping out some acts that were looking for a harder edge. They have been working with a producer for an act signed to Sanctuary and also have been rocking up some material for Liz McClarnon's solo project as the "Attomic Kitten" wished to experiment with some new vibes and a harder sound. To quote Jim - "We had to be careful because the vibe they have gone for on the rest of the material is more of a soft rock accoustic thing but they wanted to experiment with some "rockier" stuff. A lot of the stuff we did was too dark!" They have also been connected to a possible movie soundtrack with backing from a major U.S studio. Well, when they have finished messing around maybe they will finish their own album - which, by the way, is sounding pretty heavy! ..................................................................................................... 09.01.2005 Brand new year, brand new website! The energy here at the Draven camp is exploding and the boys are keen to get the year off to an electric start after successfully closing the last year with the mighty Freakfest, their biggest to date. Draven are locking themselves away to complete the writing, recording and mass distribution of their debut album. So dont worry if there are not as many oppportunities to see them live as you may like, because while they are busy doing their thing, you can keep busy here at the all new Dravensville.
